Jenson signs up to the Investing In Women Code

Jenson are delighted to announce they have signed up to the Investing In Women Code. The Investing in Women Code is a commitment for financial organisations providing finance for UK female entrepreneurs. Signatories to the Investing in Women Code commit to:

1. Nominate a member of the senior leadership team responsible for supporting equality

2. Provide data to the nominated Code Partner to be published annually on an aggregated and anonymised basis

3. Adopt internal practices to improve female entrepreneurs’ access to finance needed to start and grow success businesses

The Investing in Women Code is a commitment backed by the UK Government to support the advancement of women entrepreneurs in the UK by improving access to the tools, resources and finance they need to achieve their goals.

Signatories are committed to supporting female entrepreneurship, including by collecting and providing data to be published annually. Signatories include angel investment groups, venture capital and growth investors and high street banks.

The Code was established after the Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship identified a lack of funding as one of the most significant factors holding back women from scaling their businesses.

£250 billion could be added to the UK economy if women in the UK matched men in starting and scaling businesses.

There are now 280+ Code signatories, including most major UK banks, representing over £1 trillion in assets under management.
