London, UK – 26th March 2025 – Jenson Ventures is pleased to announce a £240,000 SEIS investment into Luna, a pioneering pet dental care company founded by one of the original co-founders of tails.com, Dr Joe Inglis, alongside ex-Vets 4 Pets and Pets at Home marketeer Louise Cooke. This investment will support Luna on their mission to transform veterinary dental services for pets and make professional oral care accessible and efficient.
With an estimated 80% of dogs over the age of 3 suffering from poor dental health, but the vast majority never receiving any routine dental care due to a combination of low awareness, unaffordable prices, and a lack of prioritisation by vets, there is a pet dental health crisis in the UK.
Driven by his awareness of this significant, under-appreciated health issue, Dr Joe founded Luna with the vision that by leveraging innovative veterinary techniques and customer-centric solutions, Luna can redefine pet dentistry, creating the UK’s first service-led pet dental brand, and transforming the oral health and wellbeing of the nation’s pets.
“As a vet I’ve seen first hand the pain and misery that untreated dental problems cause our pets,” said Joe, “so I am passionate about tackling this problem by raising awareness and making dental care more accessible.”
Jenson Ventures’ investment aligns with its strategy of backing innovative, high-growth businesses that challenge industry norms. Having previously supported game-changing companies through its SEIS and EIS funds, Jenson Ventures is excited to be part of Luna’s journey.
“We are thrilled to invest in Luna and support a founder with a proven track record in the pet care industry,” said Sarah Barber, Managing Partner at Jenson Ventures. “Luna’s mission to revolutionize pet dental care is both timely and essential, and we are confident in the company’s ability to make a meaningful impact.”
With this investment, Luna will open two pet dental clinics, in Bristol and Leeds, offering a membership model helping to spread the cost and improve uptake of routine dental care. Over the next 3-5 years, Luna plans to open a further 5-10 practices across the country to bring high quality, affordable pet dental care to owners across the country.
